As we plan for next steps, set new goals, and clarify our intentions, it’s easy to get stuck in self-judgment or dwell on things that didn’t go as planned.

I’ve been fortunate to hear Dr Ani Kalayjian, speak on forgiveness. Her work and research have taken her to global disaster areas, where she’s applied forgiveness to provide psychological support. My favorite takeaway from her talks is, "forgive, but don’t forget."

What does this mean for us?

🙏Forgive What Didn’t Work Out: let go of regret and avoid judging yourself. Ruminating on the past keeps you stuck.

💡But Don’t Forget The Lessons / Gifts: learn from those experiences and open to new ones. Use the lessons to guide your next steps forward.

As you move your 2025 goals and intentions forward, remember: growth comes from applying those lessons, not from being held back by what didn’t work out.

What lessons are you carrying forward into 2025? Share below!
