When Speaking Becomes a Challenge, You Realize Just How Powerful Your Voice Truly Is

Writer: Douglas SchererDouglas Scherer

As a writer and speaker, I never imagined I’d be facing vocal coaching. But life had other plans, and they’ve been humbling, surprising, and deeply eye-opening.

After multiple bouts of Covid, my voice took a hit. You may have noticed it in my interviews and presentations this year.

For a speaker, this is horrifying. Saying it out loud? Even more so.

But here’s the thing: challenges are also invitations for growth.

One of the F.O.R.G.E.D. practices I share in my book is Owning the Unexpected, and now I’m living it.

I chose two courses of action::

1️⃣ Incorporate this new voice feature into my presentations.

2️⃣ Work with someone who could help me uncover the strength in my new voice.

That’s when I met the incredible Maryn Azoff. Her blend of vocal mastery, energy healing, and life wisdom is nothing short of transformative.

💡 What I’m learning: Reclaiming your voice is a profound act of reclaiming your life.

I was so immersed in the work that I never thought to snap a selfie, but you can explore her work at https://lnkd.in/dKmMUDYR .
